Thank you for that reply but if you read instructions in the RTH screenFor the Mavic 2 You are Specifically given the option to select your aircrafts takeoff position OR your iPhone's(Devices) position as the home point.(I have the cellular version of the iPad mini 4). My understanding is that this is a form of dynamic home point. I have attached a screenshot to show this or am I misunderstanding it completely ?RTH has no bearing on device GPS. However trying to set your homepoint to your RC location rather than the default AC location does require device GPS. So does Follow Me mode, not to be confused with ActiveTrack. Follow Me not available on M2.
Hi everyone
Left side of this picture is my new iPad mini 5 but the GPS reception sucks in the airplane. Right side is the iPad Mini and the reception is perfect. I have been trying to contact apple because I purchased the iPad Mini 5 just 3 weeks ago but the reception is terrible. Picture taken from my cockpit in a B-737

So I understand you have an iPad Mini 5 and you don't have that problem with the GPS signal in your cockpit? I hope it's just my device and I could switch it with Apple storeI can see that something is wrong. I have the mini 5. And would not trade it for the world [emoji289]. Well maybe for the world. Lol
Not many forum members have ever tried an iPad in the cockpit of a 737.So I understand you have an iPad Mini 5 and you don't have that problem with the GPS signal in your cockpit? I hope it's just my device and I could switch it with Apple store
I was using the iPad mini 2 in the 737 cockpit for more than 3 years and I never had a problem with that iPad. The GPS signal reception with the iPad mini 2 was excellent and you can see that in the picture. That photo was taken at 37.000 Feet and the iPad Mini 2 was perfectly fine but not the iPad Mini 5. Even on ground the GPS signal sucksNot many forum members have ever tried an iPad in the cockpit of a 737.
Your problem in the cockpit of a 737 probably has nothing to do with the iPad.
It's more likely related to your cockpit being a bad place to receive GPS signals.
When I've tried to use GPS in a 737 cockpit, I could only get it to work with the antenna in the corner of the windshield where the glass had no heating wires.
Try your iPad outdoors with a good skyview and it will be fine.
None of this is relevant to the issue mentioned in earlier posts in this thread.
There's a strange problem that has prevented resetting the home point to the location of an Apple device.
The error message indicates there is no GPS signal even though the iPad or iPhone has good GPS signal.
