I am getting the infamous "Mobile Device CPU Fully Loaded" on an iPad even after a fresh reboot. I looked up the Compatibility List and for DJI Fly they do not list ANY iPad's.

I am thinking that my iPad's processor is too old and I need a newer generation.

Does anyone use an iPad for DJI Fly without issues???

Option B would be for me to switch to an Android...

Thanks in advance....

Gidday there! I believe Android is more powerful than IOS. I don't know if an iPad will run DJI Fly, but my brother runs DJI GO and DJI GO 4 on his iPad mini-2. I run DJI Fly on an old iPhone 6s Plus fine.
Hope that helps!

I don’t know about that! It probably depends on which version of Android and the hardware it’s running on. I would say that Android is more versatile than iOS in that there are opportunities to run other programmes for DJI drones on Android that aren’t available on iOS.

I use an iPad Air 64gb Gen 4 with the Fly app with no issues flying the Mavic 3.

I also use an iPad Air 64gb Gen 2 with the DJI Go4 app and Mavic 2 Pro with no issues.

I prefer to stay in the Apple universe since my phone is an iPhone.

You can get reasonably good deals on refurbished previous models from Apple direct.

I think you just answered your own question. I've flown with an iPad Mini 4 with no problems until around 2022 when I started seeing that "fully loaded" warning. I think that started happening when the Fly App started getting bloated. Just get a newer iPad and call it good.

Ok, well, I'm no Android or Apple expert!

One benefit of Android is that you can customize and program (Hack) it easier (I mean MUCH easier) than an Apple iOS system.

But that also means that there are more variations/combinations of hardware/software/hack which mean that not many of them will be tested and approved by DJI.
I’ve had both, they both have advantages and disadvantages. But I trust Android/Google/Alphabet less.
