IPhone 6 v Galaxy S7

I've been using the IPhone 6 since I got my Mavic and it's been solid - no issues at all.

I forgot to charge it today, and the weather was great (taking time off at moment) so I went for the backup plan and used my S7.

Don't get me wrong, functionally it was fine, but the video downlink would occasionally break up/blank/pixelate and it wouldn't need to be far away either. It could be problematic if you are doing a tight manoeuvre and need the view from the cam.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Both using GO4, before anyone asks. Same Mavic, same controller too. I don't want this degenerating into Apple fanboys vs Android geeks either! I have to use both (need to stay current with the tech!), one is a work phone and the other personal and can see the up and downsides to both platforms.

DJI's Android support seems to be poor as it's not unusual for people to experience problems with the video signal breaking up and the app crashing entirely. I dislike Apple products but I've had a couple of scares with the Mavic and an Android device which has me seriously considering an iPad Mini to use with the Mavic.

I've got my own mini 2 non cellular. May give it a go at some point, but it only has 16gb (running low on free mem) and no GPS. The iPhone is 128gb so I just max out the cache.

There was no drama with the S7 but just made me a bit more conservative with my chosen flight path.

I find the Android performance is inconsistent, sometimes it's generally ok with a few break ups in the image while I've now had a couple of flights where it's crashed badly.
