I saw a posting on LinkedIn for a company that does indoor fpv tours for real estate. One of the hiring requirements is an Part 107 certification.

My question: Should 107 be required for indoor flying? Is a home interior part of the national airspace and FAA jurisdiction? (I understand the requirement for 107 for exterior real estate.)

Get it anyway, it's adds something to your resume'.

With any Job that has requirements you either meet them or not. It's not about if they apply to certain aspects of the work, what happens if they need you to do outside work in the NAS?

While the FAA does not have jurisdiction over indoor space, there may be local laws that apply.

The company doing the hiring may have commercial drone insurance that only covers pilots with their Part 107.

They could also be making the reasonable assumption that a person with their Part 107 is going to be more knowledgeable and skilled than someone who doesn't have one.
