Is my gimbal broken

Well after a year of use, my mavic has developed a gimbal issue seen in this video. At first the gimbal freak out would happen only once in a 20 min flight randomly, but now it happens almost every 20 seconds. The drone is over a year old and I do not have the dji refresh so im assuming im on my own for the repairs. I just want to know if anyone knows what parts I will have to order to try and fix this problem. So far I have updated the software and done all the calibrations with no success, so im assuming I need to physically repair something .

cheezstake, Well I see this gimbal issue isn’t just me.
It appears to have crept into ALOT of our Mavics just
This month. I’m watching this forum and more and more
Post seem to describe the same thing.
I have a post from a few days ago with a video of my
Mavic doing the EXACT same as yours.
Mine only happens in sport mode and only when moving.
I did as suggested and changed props which did help
Prevent my gimbal from completely going limp.
My mavic video shows how my gimbal will just let go
And next thing you know I’m watching a video of the sky
Then the ground then sky then ground until finally giving
Up. It will dangle like it’s dead then all of a sudden fix itself
Only to repeat this in a few mins.
I’m going to contact dji cause I think we have a bug in the
Software. How else do you explain so many having the same
Problem.

I am going to order a replacement gimbal assembly and see if it fixes the issue.

Was there a recent Go 4 update? Do you have Litchi or other program to see if the problem repeats itself? Litchi is $25 US and you have two hours after downloading to uninstall for a refund. If you did not want to keep it you could at least run a test. Personally, I would keep it to have a second method of control.

The ribbon cable may be the issue. They are tiny and cheap

Throwing $25 for a program you may never use doesn't seem very useful. You could replace a cable and a base for that much.
