Sailing 120nm hard upwind was always going to be a challenge. When the wind increased to 25kts things got very bumpy and I was faced with a decision, reef lots and slow right down or continue with lots of sail and get to the shelter of an island faster. I knew what Marie would prefer and I knew my own feelings.
Did I find a compromise?
