Is the same controller, you can use a Mini 2 controller with the M3 or vice-versa. The only thing that changes is the firmware.

You'll see a box or marketing material that says R1-N1 and then see RC-231 on the actual controller itself. They are the same controller. Which was dumb. Exceedingly so for a company the size and scope of DJI.

The cost of part numbers, even accounting for the entire administrative impact on databases, support docs, etc., is miniscule compared to the support nightmare that will result if there ever is some failure that is distinct between the different versions.

Like, the white LEDs had some defect the green ones don't.
