I thought this was normal I live in Vancouver and have ran into 3 mavics in different locations. Also in Hawaii. However never chased them down just yielded and flew in my own space.

I can see how you would run into more of them when out and about shooting some film or what have you. The fact that this one was pretty much in my back yard just surprised me I suppose. Didn't really chase him down, just launched from my back yard to say 'hi' and he/she actually began following me. Right into my back yard as I landed even....which made me a bit uncomfortable... but I just gave his/her camera a thumbs up and a wave. Then watched it as it went on to land on the street behind me. Have yet to meet the pilot or see it in the air again around here. I'm thinking it may have been a visitor showing one of my neighbors what it can do.
