Very nice. Quite a capture.

The bird looks like a Common Nighthawk. They have a distinctive wing shape and you can see the white bar on his left wing.

They're amazingly acrobatic flyers, one of those birds that put us humans to shame. Rapid wing beats followed by short glides, snap turns, and abrupt climbs. The males do a display by diving near vertically and pulling out so abruptly that there's an odd booming/zooming noise created. It's apparently a territorial thing. There's a nasal buzzing call, too.
