Why is my panning so juddery with the AIR 3S? Yeah i appreciate some people don't like panning but i like those shots amongst other shots i do. I've been flying for 8 years and have thousands of drone views so i am not new to droning. but am to the AIR 3S.This is my 5th DJI drone and not had the issue before with my others. I have always filmed in 4k 30FPS and i shouldn't have to up my frame rate to 60 FPS to smooth things out as requires more processing time and file size. I shot this today at both 1/60 and 1/80 shutter speed and still the same. The example here is 1/80. No ND filter uses as it was not needed due to dull weather. I am panning very slow (yes it is boring but i am experimenting) and am wondering if the memory card is not writing fast enough although using Sandisk Extreme Pro as always. Or does it look smooth to others and my hardware is not coping with the 3S Files? Also i cannot try .mov format or H.264 codec as the AIR 3S doesn't support them. So i appreciate i may be the cause, but if i am i don't know how. I am tempted to return it if i can't fix this. Any advice appreciated.

Sorry I can't help you. Anything my drone cannot do easily, I fix it in post. DR optical flow probably could fix that up pretty quickly but it sounds like you rather troubleshoot the equipment not will to spend the "processing time." Do I detect the gimbal dropping slightly as you are panning?

H.264 is not supported in either HLG or DLOG-M but is on normal colour profile, you get the choice of shooting in either 264 or 265

Thanks for reply. At what timestamp in the video do you detect dropping please so I can see myself?

Panning not boring here!
(Watching on a Macbook Pro M1) If you follow the red car (L to R), it look like the auto focus is twitching until the car is in line with the touchline of the football pitch when suddenly all is clear. I thought I saw a gimbal drop the first time through but couldn't spot it again. Other than that, I wouldn't say that it was 'So' juddery.

I am thinking it might be my pc bottlenecking the video. Not had that issue before but will do some further tests.

Just that it seems from beginning the end, as you pan from left to right it starts out flat but about half way, are you moving the gimbal lower or downwards slightly? I sped it up to 2x and it doesn't look as smooth.

Didn’t Bill The Drone Reviewer on YouTube have a similar issue? He returned two drones to DJI only for it not to be an issue with the drone itself. I think it was an issue with either his laptop and / or editing software
