I am so excited.

It rains 100 days of the year where I am... and I'm thrilled at the prospect of being able to go fly even when rains threaten. I don't plan on launching in the middle of storms or when in the jaws of a squall--waterproof does not mean windproof. But I find that my best photos are on very cloudy days simply because the sky is more interesting and the quality and quantity of light during such days results in much better images.

I've flown countless times on cloudy days, and have stayed in the air for as long as my courage will let me. But most of the best photos of such sessions will be the last few shots on the card in the moments before I realize it has begun to rain and I have to book it home on S-mode. :)

Most thrilling of all is the prospect of observing my herds when they are out and about. On hot sunny days, the cattle and the buffalo seek shelter under the trees during the warmest parts of the day, and it's not surprising to fly for a full 15 minutes and spot ZERO cattle. :) My best bet for catching my herds in the open are the house shortly after dawn and before dusk. And of course, on rainy cloudy days.

So yeah. I can't wait.

And for those who have used the wetsuits... any tips?

Cheers!
