According to what criteria are the videos that appear in "Yesterday's new topics" selected?

Not sure what you are asking. If whatever is started it shows in new threads. If they are in the photo/video section unless someone post in that thread it moves down the list. so say one that is at the bottom of the page is posted in it moves to the top.. Is that what your asking?

Is there an email similar to "this week's hottest topics"?

I have all the email notifications turned off, but maybe that's what he's referencing...?

Actually I notice that the videos that appear in the email "Yesterday's new topics" are sometimes of no interest, while others, more interesting are not. If I understand your answer correctly (but my English is poor! ) this selection results simply from the time of its publication on the site (Firs In Last Out ..)?

i think you are correct, and it also has to do with popularity. popularity being based on how many replies it had... and sometimes people go off on a rant, on an unrelated thread, and it makes it "popular"... this is only my opinion based on my very amateur understanding of root metrics

I have a question for the moderators apropos of this question. I often shoot during the day and post in the evening. When is the best time to post a new post? The next morning, or later in the day? If I post in the evening will it be added to the same day for the next day?

Right when you start it. Anytime is good we are open 24/7 ?
