Absolutely did. We'd gone to Edinburgh for 10 days over Christmas in 2022. Did some fairly short distance day trip group tours, but didn't scratch the surface (we didn't even visit Edinburgh Castle).
This time around, we went for two weeks. Took some longer group tours to the highlands and some private tours of the Edinburgh area and Trossachs. Then discovered how easy it is to use the train and hit St Andrews and Glasgow on our own. Now that we've discovered the train, we're planning a 3 week trip to see as much of the country as we can.
