I've only flown my new M2Z a couple times, but when trying manual landing it will always hover at about 2ft. I have to do Auto landing. I tried turning sensors off, but I must be missing something.

You can also disable landing protection in the app for full control of the landing. This is a sample image of location inside the app. The M2 Does not have the precision landing feature just yet.

If you continue holding the control stick down it will eventually land?

Yes - it takes a couple of seconds but it will land.

And be sure to keep it held down once it touches the ground, until it switches itself off, before reaching for it.
