You know range is limited by two factors, connection and battery - it's with O4 air unit so dji claims around 20 km. And with big battery it can fly around 20 (reviewers in yourube claim even more), so i assume it easily will reach more than 6-7 km away and safely return, but my furthest fly is around 5-6 away
