Lightning to USB-mini Cable Source

Mine is fine, but I know I will either lose it or it will break one day so I'd like to be proactive for once in my life.

Can only find them for $20+ -- anyone have a cheap source for these?

Or just use a regular USB to lightening . Plugged into the center USB port on the controller. I've heard it gives a better signal between your phone/tablet than using the side mini connector.
