Litchi needs permission to start and control phone conversations & record audio?!

Today I wanted to make some aerial pictures of my house after months of no-flying. It started with asking for permissions (eg access to pictures etc on my phone), but also permission to start and control phone conversations & record audio. Why is that? I don't see any reason why UAV software should need those permissions. I rejected the permissions but it keeps coming so I cannot start Litchi anymore...
I wonder if it is still safe to use Litchi when it asks such odd things and should I agree with these awkward requirements? I used Litchi may times but has never seen this behaviour...

It's fine, Litchi can record what's on your screen including voice or sound if you give it permission. Otherwise ignore it

Well, you cannot ignore it, because it keeps coming to the screen asking for permissions. I just agreed and hope it will not be abused.

On Apple devices (it’s a long time since I used an Android device so don’t know how they handle permissions now) you can set these permissions so that they only apply when an app is in use. I also force close apps that I don’t trust and that includes those from Chinese UAV manufacturers.
