Hey, what happens if I use Litchi to plan a waypoint mission that flys in to a nfz in the middle of the flight and I've lost signal with the remote? Would the mavic 2 zoom just fly back to the home point?

If you lose signal long enough it should RTH automatically regardless of location. Be sure at take-off you give the bird long enough to register the home point and to access 10-20 satellites as well as being sure the RTH altitude is enough to clear trees, etc on it’s way home, especially important if it does an RTH with low battery reserve.

I can't speak to your exact question, but I can tell you that I've had a P4P go off on its own due to a Pix4d mishap (contact was intermittent and I was unable to initiate a RTH). It hit a zone around an airport and it simply landed immediately right there on the spot, on it's own, and I had to go find it. It was still hovering a foot off the ground above a corn field, with an almost depleted battery. It had no intention of flying back to the home point. I was not impressed. It may be worth contacting DJI to determine the outcome of an event such as the one you have described.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It's there a way to make the drone rth if a nfz is entered by accident?

As it is now if I lose contact with the drone it completes the mission then rth.

I have many nfz popping up in my area weekly. Most are flyable but need me to accept responsibility in order to fly.

I live in an area with many nfz, I have 3 hospital heliports and about 5 seaports around me. Litchi does not seem to care, DroneDeploy on the other hand does care. YMMV

No, but that would be ideal, and safer. My solution would be to just modify the firmware (easy to do on MP1 and Phantoms) and remove the restrictions all together, but this isn't a good idea for everyone. Many people are not responsible or aware of their surroundings. In my case I'm in a fairly rural area so I don't have to deal with restrictions very much.

Hi

If you are using Litchi Waypoints
It will not return home if it lost connection
With remote. It will try to finish his waypoints
About NFZ, Litchi use DJI database
So I think drone will stop near NFZ and hover
There

Interesting. I'm thinking about tracking my car into a nfz with the dji app. Then tracking with Litchi

Ended up just flying the nfz. Oddly enough, I received no warning. When I lost signal, rth turned on, when the signal came back the warning about the zone popped up and I was able to confirm and accept.

In short, the warning is not very consistent. I did get one great shot before I lost signal.

That's totally incorrect, when flying a Litchi mission the drone will fly the entire mission even if you totally loose the signal, critical battery being the only cause for a RTH, not sure what would happen if you hit a NFZ during a mission though

Hi
About NFZ
DJI use 3 different levels of NFZ: A. B and C
C- you will receive massage about be careful
To flying in this zone
B- restrictive are but you will be able to unlock
This are by providing DJI some identification info
A- you can not fly there or enter to that area
Your drone will stop near that area or will be landed automatically
