Hi this is a question for the ones in the know as we know we cannot use Litchi with the MM2 but will it be possible for DJI to bring up an update in the future to enable us to do so using Andriod?

Yes. Just need to wait for DJI to release the software developer kit. Probably back end of the year.

it will arrive - Dronelink will also eventually support it when the SDK is released..
