I know where the flying field is in Richmond park England’s royal park by looking at google map.

However, i couldnt find the map or boarder of it anywhere.

Can someone help?

Thanks in advance!

Well, the borders are not clearly marked, even can't be derived from the Park Service description.
Flying drones in Richmond Park

However, I would assume that you shout get better hints on site, i.e Drone signs.
The map gives an idea where the Flying Field can be found.

Thanks. After reading the post I learnt more about The Sun newspaper only tell true news on page 3, but still not able to figure out where the flying field really is. I guess I just play by ear until someone tells me off with the right info. like what they wrote in the drone policy in richmond park that if you see a sign or get told off then you stop etc. I read some other post showing an e-mail response that you can fly in the flying field but can not make recordings. People just making up rules these days...

If you haven't already done so, I'd suggest you get the 'NATS Drone Assist' app' as that will show you the extent and types of 'risk' associated with flying drones around London.

Totally agree with that suggestion. There’s also another flying app that many people us which is brilliant.

It’s called UAVforecast, has maps, weather & much more. I also use NATS Drone Assist, recomended by @FoxhallGH, another great app.

Both apps are highly recommended to have with you while out flying.

Well i know all that, i am asking a very specific question here. By looking at the app it says its private so may raise concern and therefore i searched on the internet specifically what richmond park says but they referred flying field for drones, but i want to know the boarder of it as other areas in the park cant fly.

Well Line Of Sight is kind of your limit. When you fly there you have lots of space - but I don't think anyone can see their drones more than 4-800m away without a separate spotter. Some people do fly down to the ponds to the south but that would be a violation for most drone operators.

And remember to stay below 400' as the edges of the flying field is right next to a very trafficked Heli flying path. (As in "real" huge helicopters flying low!)

And watch out for idiots with drone racers who occasionally try to bump your bird on purpose. They usually try to hide around the trees and not where the bin's and benches are. (The spot marked on the map is where the benches and bin's are)

But thankfully most of the guys I have met flying there are really nice and fly safe. :)

It is a nice place to fly - and if you have food - REMEMBER to close and lock down your food. Else the deer!! will have a feast. Yes - they come all the way up to you to find food. Makes for some great shots though.

Use the Go 4 app' to set the maximum height your Drone will fly at as 120 metres (400 ft). Remember that the 120 m limit is 'above ground level' - in other words if you are flying from an elevated position, that's 120 metres above you, but as you fly down-slope, the flight-ceiling goes down proportionally. The other thing that you may find around London, where pretty much everywhere is a caution or no-fly zone, is that the zones are shown two-dimension as circles, but they are actually like funnels - so you can find that the closer you get to a no fly zone, the lower you are forced to go.

Apologies, was only trying to help out.;)
