Good afternoon. As the title says, during my 2nd battery flight the connection suddenly stopped... screen on the phone froze.
Could bring the mpp back in atti mode. Now i am unable to make contact controller to ac. Send it back to DJI?
Did anyone else got this problem too, please advise.
best regards.
Paul

I don't have the expertise to do any thing with the files. But I have experienced the frozen screen a few times. I tried a different cable and that seemed to solve the problem for a while.

One time I bypassed a Go4 app update and it did it to me. After I landed I tried to reconnect the tablet with the controller and I got a software mismatch notification so I never bypass an update anymore. The Go4 app has not been updated for the MP/MPP in well over a year and I don't expect it ever will be.

However I have always been able to fly the drone back VLOS with the controller or do a RTH. After landing and shutting down the Go4 app, the controller and the drone and restarting everything in sequence the controller and Go4 app linked OK as did the controller with the drone.

But as I understand it Your Drone and the controller don't link. Have you tried to go through the initial linking process as you would if you had a new controller? If you have and it didn't solve the problem I think you should definitely get in touch with DJI to get the ball rolling.

I bought a MPP in August this year and it turned out to be a lemon. I didn't want to go through the possibly lengthy wait while my drone was in shipping being fixed and sent back. So I sent it back to the merchant and purchased another MPP.

If I had the Patience to send it to DJI it would have cost me less. The main issue was with the video but it had other issues. It came with both batteries, AC and Controller, so low on charge they would not even register on the charger. Nothing was calibrated. I even had to calibrate the sticks, a hassle because the right stick would not go to 100% in one corner. But the video was the last straw.

It's replacement works great no problems at all.

Thank you so much Terry.
I'll give it a try in the sequence you describe. If this does not help i will send it to DJI to check it out.
This mpp is a refurbished one i got from DJI after sending mine with a broken gimbal. Who knows this one is a good one.
I'll keep you informed.
All the best.
Paul.

It shouldn't have gone into ATTI mode and it should have returned. When I had the same thing happen it was because of my phone..that never worked again..It's not fun to lose the screeno_O

Problems with the app and its connection to the RC is not uncommon while the RC to AC connection is still good. It would be a good idea to practice piloting with loss of app.

The app nor the RC can cause the AC to go into ATTI (assuming you haven't hacked changes to the mode selector). If it goes into ATTI, there was a problem on the AC side. That can be environmental such loss of GPS and too high for VPS, or magnetic interference. Those would be temporary.

@Hiflyer, i returned it manually, i was lucky the ac was only 5 feet away.
@danman. I practiced piloting without the phone connected. Lucky me. Not sure the ac went into atti. As my screen froze and there was a connection alert i brought the ac in. Afterwards there was no possibility to connect. Even after resetting the ac, deleting and re install the app. The rc and ac are on their way to Dji. I'll keep you informed.

All the best.

Yes, sure, but i was too occupied bringing the ac in. Could not see if there were enough satellites because the screen was frozen.

Hope your next one works.
