Unless you have an urgent need for either of those two features, and your current FW is working perfectly, I wouldn’t take the risk. Depending upon your existing FW, you may currently be able to self-authorize in Blue Authorization zones without a GEO unlock, which any upgrade will remove, along with installing anti-rollback FW.
Hyperlapse is overrated. Just shoot 4K video at a low frame rate and speed it up in post. The 48MP is not much better than a bracketed 12MB DNG. Don't fall for the trap!

Thanks...me thinks this is bogus anyway. Correction on source, not DJI Web Store but rather Drone Nerds...hmmm.

Could not find further info on the subject from DJI - sorry to have wasted your time.
