First off. I've been away from droning for many years, while my Mavic Pro sat stored away with no use. I'm now in the process of trying to start it up, but, well the batteries won't even charge, much less hold a charge. I suspected as much, due to the length of storage and no use. The symptoms I see on the battery is, the first green LED flashes a few times and stops, and repeats this cycle endlessly. Nothing is getting warm - not the charger or battery. I have a new battery on order from Amazon, and I was wondering what replacement battery are other Mavic Pro users purchasing and can recommend.

I've also tried to resurrect the Go Fly 4 app and the Mavic Pro is not even listed as a selected drone. What? I know it's old, but maybe I need to update the firmware? Link anyone to the correct site that has DJI firmware updates.

"...GO FLY..."? There have been mentions of this derivative title for an app listed on Play Store, it is not the official DJI app and has a tendency to want things like your credit card details.

I take it you mean "DJI GO4", as DJI FLY has nothing to do with drones before the AIR 2S.

Is your device Android, or i-OS? If android: you will find GO4 in the downloads section of the official DJI website.

If you prefer using one of the less current versions: a trip to APKMirror and the line "DJI GO" typed in the search box will throw up a wide range of archived copies of older versions (as well as the latest version too). Scroll down until you get to the DJI GO4 entries and download whichever you choose.

Hey thx Felix. I'll Investigate. I do have the DJI GO4 app, it's just that while I though my battery was good due to LEDs, it would simply power down. So I kept getting, the 'Disconnected' message. Like I said in my earlier post, I have a new battery arriving today to try. Hopefully, all the software will up date and work together. I'm also going to try Litchi.

Litchi is a great flight app for pre-planned automatic waypoints flights (if that's your bag), hopefully, with a fresher battery clipped in, you'll be back in action.

I still like the original Mavic Pro enormously even though the video write bitrate was capped at 60mbps (which kinda cut the throat of the 4K video claim).

The still shots it took were awesome and the camera portrait orientation flip was way ahead of its time. I reckon the sensor (small as it is but with nice big 2.3 micrometer photosites) still knocks all these quad Bayer (fake 48mp) sensors into a cocked hat.

My new MP battery showed up late today. I finished fully charging it. Will start testing it tomorrow, and making sure the software all works and get the RC talking to the drone. Hope I can get it flying again.

P.s. I stayed up extra late and was able to startup the drone and have it connect to the controller. Yay! Of course I didn't try flying in the house! I will still need to go through the calibration process and fly outdoors later today.

Fingers crossed you're up and flying soon.

Actually, I had a few quick flights on my property Tuesday. I still need to go through a full calibration of everything. But, the new battery seemed to be working fine. The MP handled and responded perfectly. I was using GO4, and had 8 satellites connected. May try Litchi at some point, but I really don't do planned flights with waypoints. I did get a Ruko RID device - to stay legal. :) Back when I first got the drone, I was using a mini iPad with the RC, but the biggest issue I had was the glare on the screen in bright sunlight. Almost unusable IMO, but my phone had the same issue. I knew there were other monitors you could specifically get for less glare - but at a price. I'm sure they're double the price now.

I can't wait to get out on an open field, but have to drive a few miles to get to them. Maybe today. I do have another battery coming as well.
