Looking for any help on light codes for the Mavic 4 Pro battery. I have the Mavic 4 Pro Creator Combo. I have 6 batteries that I rotate. I charge three in the charger, use them, then charge the next three, and so on. Tonight I pulled the first charged battery from the charger, press the button and all three light came on for 2-3 second indicating it was fully charged. When I put the battery in the M4, I usually press the button once to recheck it as showing full charge. Tonight however, after the four lights it up for the 3 seconds, they turned off as usual. Then the left two lights came on then off, then the right two lights came on then off. They alternated left to right eight times, then shut off. I pulled the battery, then reinserted it. Same results.
Anyone have this issue before? Or is there anyone that has light error codes for the Mavic 4 Pro. Looked on DJI's site, but of course being in the U.S. nothing can be found, and CS is closed for tonight.

Those lights blinking mean an abnormal communication from the Battery to the drone Usually this is from one of the cells being far out of balance after charge, If you take that battery and Drain it to about 3 percent and recharge it, the blinking will most likely go away..If not, Your battery has a fault and you should stop using it.

Thank You. I will try that.
FYI, I tried two other batteries and they did the same thing

That could be the charger do you have another?

No, And I just tried one of the batteries I flew with earlier today. That had no problems, or alternating lights prior. When I inserted that battery into the drone it also started having alternating lights. Wondering of something new in the drone. Just flew it this afternoon. Will be calling DJI support in the morning.

You can also try charging a battery in the drone with the charger, in case the charging hub is creating the problem.

Just got off the phone with DJI support. They said the drone is in Standby Mode. They said if you use the internal storage and transfer files via the cable, it puts the drone in standby mode. Randomly, they said it gets a bug just like in a computer and the drone stays in Standby Mode because the unit becomes overloaded. They said it could happen once a year, sometime more, and maybe never. I am able to start the drone and fly, but they said it would not be a good idea to fly as they don't know if it would cause an issue when flying. They said the only way you can release it from the Standby Mode is to remove the battery and let the drone sit idle without power for at least 12 hours. So I just placed it on the shelf without the battery till tomorrow am to see if it clears.
I asked if they are going to put this in a bulletin to advise UAV pilots of the issue and he said he will raise it to a higher level for them to look at it. I asked if this is something that can be fixed in a Firmware update as this is serious if for example I drive three hundred miles for a job and when I go to fly my drone is now in Standby and I can't fly. He again said it would be raised to a higher level for review.
The drone does power up and will fly, but I am not willing to risk a $5k drone on a maybe it will or maybe it won't affect my flight.

weird, I use a cable all the time and never had any issues
So have I and without any issues, Until Today. When you shut down the drone, it goes into a Standby mode while the power if off. This allows file transfers with the USB. When you finish transferring files and remove the cable while in this Standby Mode, apparently it can randomly freeze and stay in the Standby Mode even after you complete the file transfer and remove the cable. He said this is rare, it can happen once a year, sometimes more, and sometimes never (his words). (don't know how often it has happened that they know this) In any case it is a random bug just like a computer where you have to reset the computer to clear it. Unfortunately, he said there is no manual way to clear the Standby other than turning off the drone for at least 12 hours without the battery. I hope they can find a way to fix this with a Firmware update.

Gotcha, I don’t usually have a battery in the drone when it’s plugged into the PC to xter files so maybe this standby mode doesn’t apply.

Will let you know in the morning if sitting for 12 hours clears it. In either case, in the future, I will do like you and remove the battery when transferring files.
