I was flying a mission when a downpour started, turning quickly to hail. Landed immediately, but it got pretty wet. Disconnected the battery and dried it all ASAP with a towel. Set it in front of fans for 2 days before ever powering back on. Never have had any issues to this point.

Then he told you BS.

The only DJI vehicles which have an IP rating are:

- Matrice 200 series (v1 and v2) / IP 43 rating
- Wind series v2 / IP 56 rating

The only DJI cameras which have an IP rating is the XT2 which is IP 44.

If your going to fly in the rain you might want to consider a Mavic 2 Wet suit .
We have found that the Mavic 2 is very water resistant however the battery is the weakest link.

M2E definitely has no IP rating. They are quite well protected actually so hence why they survive the odd encounter with water, but it should still be avoided as the shell is not properly sealed.

Flew in heavy fog and the camera gimbal locked up. Had to come back and reboot. Happened twice the same evening. All worked fine the next day.

We have flown hundreds of flights in the Rain , but never had the Gimbal lock up, im wondering it your controller got wet or did you loose signal ?

We did lose signal once. Could that lock up the camera gimbal, even after the signal was recovered? Cuz it was locked the whole flight back to the home point.
