M2P - How to make a POI?

A few days i try to make a POI with my M2P.....no success.....very confuse....

ON my old P3, just fly above center, give directions, and basically get out of center and start...

But....this doesnt work on my M2P..... any ideas?

If you are already at the "point of interest" I find it's easiest to just "set" the point using the auxiliary button C1 (rear of controller).
Manually marking on the screen is fine - but tedious to me - if not using a tablet.
