M2Zoom over water

Anyone fly their drone over water?
Tried some canal footage today, and my hovering Zoom kept slowly dropping towards the water. Any of you had a similar experience?

If the Mavic 2 is anything like the Mavic 1 then you need to turn off the downward VPS mate, water plays havoc with sensors.

As does AstroTurf strangely enough

AstroTurf, might be related to the warnings on this page. Read what DJI says, don't read in anything.

Download the newest User Manual and search for the word water in the PDF, there are a LOT of warnings.

I have had an issue with serious drift over water which I initially thought was IMU but then realized it probably was VPS tracking the water ripples/waves.
I hadn't heard much about descents though. Were you using tap-fly perchance? That works 3 dimensionally. If you click on the screen below the horizon, it will decend.
