The low-quality optics of the Mavic 3 require a lot of correction when you take a single photo. In the case of the pano 360, this may be the main reason DJI does not want to implement this feature on the M3. The software is not able to put together such photos, which need to be properly corrected to achieve a useful pano 360
It's not so much that, a lot of people (myself included) never use the drone-stitched version of the image (on my M2P).

But having the drone automatically capture 26 or so DNG images, with the correct and automatic rotation and overlap, means it's easy to fly the drone to a location, hit go on the panorama, and then do the processing and stitching at home on a computer.
