Was wondering if there is anyway of connecting the controller to my MacBook Pro or laptop instead of an iPad or phone.

I have a great view of mountains around my house and would like to connect to my laptop and fly from home. ( just being lazy )

I'm pretty sure the short answer is no. You need an iOS or Android app (DJI GO4, Litchi, etc.) to cast the drone's telemetry and video stream to a device. Your drone WILL fly just fine without any device, you just won't see what it's up to.

The only solutionI know of is using an airpaly program like AIrServer and mirror everything on the mac

I think ive read somwhere you can use an Apple TV using airplay from the phone to a macbook.

If you download an Android emulator you could then put dji 4 go onto the MacBook. I think that should work.

You can screen mirror to most smart TVs now. I tried with my Samsung 55 inch uhd tv. It was ridiculously huge!
