Magnetic connectors

Anyone got a magnetic connector to RC to connect to phone. NOT for charging. The socket on the Air remote controller is a very weak pont

The big USB type A port in the middle works the same as the micro port on the side yes?

I was unaware. Thus the original question.

yes, except for charging, still need to us the side port for that, using the big middle usb port for flying has been reported by folks to give a better connection with not so many disconnects etc.

I use the magnetic plug on the side for charging only and use the USB connection from the controller bottom to the phone and it's working out great...... no more wearing out that mini usb plug on the side
