Greetings All,
I'm looking for some info from experienced hobbyists familiar with non DJI LiPos.
I have a helicopter coming that's uses a 4S 14.8v 5000mah LiPo with the XT60 connector and the balance charge lead.
I'm well aware of the quirks and dangers of LiPos and how to care for and maintain them, so I'm not looking for that info.
This Heli has room for a larger battery and I'm considering a 9000mah Lipo (also 4S 14.8V) with the EC5 connector. I can find an adapter to go from EC5 to the XT60 connector on the ESC but is that a wise choice? It's one thing to experiment with different batteries on ground vehicles but I want to fly safely.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Based on my experience, the adaptor should be ok- just be sure the adaptor's wire gauge is the same as the wire from the battery and the wire from the esc.
