Magnetic phone case

I’ve got a phone case with some strong magnets in it to stick to the mounts in my car.
I’m sure it’s best to remove the phone from the case when flying to avoid interference, but my question is: isn’t the magnetic interference GO4 warns you about (it hasn’t warned me about this case though) related to the drone itself, not the controller or phone?

The strong magnet is normally in the car mount and the case only holds a thin piece of steel, but either way the Go 4 magnetic interference warning is about the Mavic, not the RC.

That’s good news, I would prefer not to remove the case each time. I imagine you’re right about the magnet being on the mount and only steel in the case. Thx.

There is a chance that the magnets might affect the hall sensors used for the sticks in the remote control. Check the calibration of the remote control with your choice of controller and case in place.
