Mini 4 Pro Majestic Merapi Volcano - Aerial Views from Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Hey fellow pilots,

Just wanted to share my latest video from a recent trip to Yogyakarta, Indonesia. I had the opportunity to capture some aerial footage of the legendary Mount Merapi, one of the most active and famous volcanoes in the world.

The landscape here is just incredible, carved by past eruptions. My goal was to showcase the rugged beauty of its slopes, the famous lava tour jeep tracks, and the stunning scenery surrounding it

Flight & Tech Details:

• Drone: DJI Mini 4 Pro
• Camera Settings: Shot in D-Log to have more flexibility in post. Used ND filters (mostly ND16/32) to manage the bright sun and maintain a 180-degree shutter rule.
• Challenges: The wind on the slopes can be a bit unpredictable, so I had to pick my flight times carefully. Also, it's crucial to be aware of the Mount Merapi National Park no-fly zones near the summit. All flights were conducted safely outside these restricted areas.
• Post-Production: Edited and color graded in DaVinci Resolve.
