This is the email I sent DJI Support today.

I'm testing my mini 3 pro for an upcoming trip. 2 says ago it worked relatively OK. It never asked for my wifi password.

Today, it wouldn't connect to the internet, even though it did Wenesday. I actually had to go into my house to get my wifi password which I don't have memorized to connect. Then I took it outside. Since I live in a blue airport zone, it had the red authorization bar up. So I spun the propellers and it brought up the dialog where you have to check 3 boxes. I did this and hit unlock, and the freakin red authorization zone dialog was still there. I had to this 4 or 5 times before it finally unlocked. I've had thus problem forever with both my mavic 3 and mini 3 pro drones. Are you EVER going to fix this? What total ********!

Isn't DJI removing geofencing in your region, will that help?

You appear to be having a lot of problems and it all seems to point apparently to the rogue wifi network you are running out of your home. Either that or Xi is still unhappy with what your PM said and he's not making it easy for you guys. :p

I didn't hear they were removing geofencing in my region. That would be great. My router works great will all my other devices, about 10, so I don't think that's the problem. They deserve more profanity then I'm giving them!
Everytime you fly with the DJI RC, it says we are now turning off wifi and Bluetooth. They say to maintain a good signal to the drone. But I never do that with my RC-N1 and tablet, and it has just as good of range. Why don't they give you the option of not turning them off? I love their hardware but I hate their software and the company has gotten worse since 2017. But thanks for your comment.

Your problems are all caused by your Internet connection and have nothing to do with your Drone or controller!

I just read that's only in Europe. I'm in Asia.

I told you before, there's nothing wrong with my internet. It works fine on ten other devices. And even Fly says I'm connected ok. But I will double check. Thanks for the advice.

This is my response from DJI.

Dear Steve,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your frustration regarding the recurring issues with unlocking the authorization zone dialog on both your Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3. I am genuinely sorry that this glitch is interfering with your essential flight preparation, and I absolutely understand why you feel this is "total ********." It is unacceptable when a process you rely on fails repeatedly.

I want to help you pinpoint the exact cause of this delay and determine if it's a software issue or a specific zone requirement.

To accurately investigate this matter, could you please provide the following information?

  1. Your Location: May I know where you are geographically located (city, state, or specific address) for me to check the classification of the blue airport zone you are in? Some fly zones require a pre-submitted unlock request rather than just the on-site check-box confirmation.
  2. Screenshots: To help our team diagnose the exact failure point, could you please send me a screenshot of the error dialog that reappears after you check the three boxes and hit "Unlock"? You may also send me any error appear that relates to the connection issue.
  3. Drone Serial Numbers: Please provide the full serial numbers for:
Once I have this information, I can check the status of the fly zone in question and work with our engineers to understand why the app is requiring multiple unlocks.

Thank you for your cooperation. We are committed to getting this reliable for your upcoming trip.
Best Regards,
Ruby
DJI Tech Support

Why do they always need my serial numbers. Aren't all of their drones the same?
