Making DSAR a 501c

After talking with Thunderdrones I think we’re heading down the road to make DSAR a nonprofit 501c. A couple of you have PM’d with a willingness to be on the board and we will be in contact with you.

My biggest concern right now is:

1) finding someone to file the necessary paperwork and register us and

2) finding someone to handle the money (I am no good handling money). I think Thunderdrones is willing.

I’m Intrigued by the suggestion to procure and put on standby a couple of high end drones with high resolution FLIR to be overnighted to a DSAR Pilot in the event of an emergency. I’d like to pursue that.

Be sure you research the caveats of a 501c and the annual requirements.

I'll help if you need but I'm def NOT your guy for legalese.
