March 2017 Firmware, and latest iOS Go4 app?

Hi guys,
I have kept my Firmware at March 2017 (.400 I believe), and likewise my Android version app (.4) and all has been fine. Thing is - I've bought myself the latest iPad Mini4, and I want to take advantage of the larger screen. My question is - should I upgrade my firmware, or do I actually need to? Can I leave my Firmware where it is, so that I can switch between my Android, and iOS Go4 app? Or should I downgrade the iOS app to a version closer to my current Firmware version? (which I've seen done on Youtube)
I guess I'd like to know - can I run both iOS (latest) and Android app (.4) leaving my Firmware where it is..?

you can use both,I use wunderphone with android,also use mini4 with ios,no problems,you can run any f/w on mavic and rc
