I have tried various things to reduce reflections on my Samsung Tab A without success, including hats to shade my face and box like devices attached to the sides of my tablet, I still get reflections of my face on the screen in bright sunshine and so I am wondering if some matte screen protectors work better than others and if indeed they are effective.

Keep in mind that any screen protector also reduces the touch sensitivity of the device screen. Best overall solution is to fly from shade, even if just under a golf umbrella that you bring along for that purpose, or under a larger shade canopy for more of a semi-permanent location for the day, where you can stay cool as well, and it will also keep the rest of your stuff from baking.

Others have flown inside their air conditioned trucks.

Hello. I have a Galaxy Tab A-Lite. I had the same problem. I bought a skin called Armorsuit Military Shield from Amazon. It’s what they call a “wet” application. So just like it says, it’s applied with water and a special solution. I can’t remember the price but it wasn’t real expensive. My fear was that I was going to have dreaded air bubbles all over it. Well, I watched the video several times and jumped in. It came out amazing ! I had 2 really small bubbles at the very edge of the screen that disappeared just like the instructions said they would. It has the matte finish you’re looking for, so NO face reflection, BUT, you can still get some image “washout” if the sun is right on the screen, so you still have to position the screen out of the sun. The sensitivity is fine. It even comes with a guarantee.
Check it out. I love it. Good luck with your search.
