Has anyone found a good “fanny pack” type bag that works with the MM?

For one for Christmas Lowbro 220. Gutted it. Mavic Mini case fits in perfect. Plenty of room for everything else. Open the back pack, you now have secondary layer of protection.

I use the Manfrotto NX CSC backpack, works great!

This is the one I use. It has three side pockets for other accessories. Shown with the case inserted but works even better with everything removed from the case and put inside the pouch. Then it will close properly. A few Ziplocs and a little bubble wrap will keep everything protected. It can be worn front or back and keeps me hands-free. Good luck have fun.
