We have a Dji Mavic 2 Enterprise drone. We need some advice on how to set the resolution to a higher level, currently we are only achieving 960x720 pixels at 96 dpi, and cant find how to change this in the settings, any help appreciated.

Are these RAW (DNG) or JPG photos? Raw-files have a low resolution jpg-file integrated, could be that one you are seeing.
Did you copy them from the sd-card in the drone to a computer?

Waynorth is right - both the zoom and the 'Hasselblad' camera should capture at 4000x3000px for both JPG and DNG (RAW). The DPI is a printer setting that you can raise or lower using the editing software just before output to either JPG or TIFF. If you're outputting drone image files (either JPG or RAW) after running them through an editor: the low resolution and reduced size is down to you having the wrong output parameters for your requirements.
Uninstall your editing software and get rid of all the user settings files as well - then re-install your chosen photo editor. This should reset your output parameters without you having to fanny around trawling through the preferences settings menus. In the output tab: choose 8-bit JPG high quality (as close to 100% as you can get it) - in this menu tab: you can also set the output image DPI (Dots Per Inch) in case you want to print the image. With an 8-bit JPG, I have this set to 300dpi - alternatively you can output to an uncompressed 16 or 32-bit floating point TIFF which will maximise your output quality.

OP has a Mavic 2 Enterprise (M2E), it has only the 12 Mpix zoom camera, like the Mavic 2 Zoom.
The Mavic 2 Pro has the so-called Hasselblad camera, with a larger sensor (1 inch) and higher resolution (5472×3648 px).

I think this was a rather complicated explanation.

You are right that dpi is a printer setting, and has no meaning as long as the image is viewed on screen.
An image that is 4000x3000 pixels, will still be 4000x3000 if you change the dpi to whatever you want.

The short and easy explanation is: Forget about dpi until you are ready to print the photos.

But I do not think this is OP's problem, and uninstalling and reinstalling the photo editor is not necessary.

There's no need to do anything as your camera is shooting full resolution images already.
Whenever people complain about tiny 960 x 720 images, they think they are looking at raw (dng) images.
But dng images require specialised software to view.
Without the specialised image viewing software, all you see is the tiny 960x720 preview jpg that's inside the dng image file.
Tell your operator to forget about dng images and look at the jpg image files.
Those will be what you want.

Thanks everyone, I think the Pilot may have been exporting it as a low res, just had a play myself and indeed it is 4000x3000 (photo) and 640x480 (IR).
