DJI has not announced any intention to add either course or home lock for the Mavic 2.
If you "search" on this site for "course lock" or "home lock" you will find quite a few related posts.
Have fun with your Mavic.
Fly safely.
You have 3 types of TapFly
- flying forward: This is the normal one.
To do something like HomeLock: Orient your MP2 homewards (You can see that eg on the Radar). then Start "Tap Fly Forward" adjust the speed. You needn't touch the Smartphone/Tablet Screen anymore. You can use your Remote control to rotate, climb or control the Gimbal
- Flying Backwards: Also generates very nice videos the unveal a scene.
Theoretically you could also use this mode to "HomeLock".
Turn Drone exactly awayfrom your Homepoint (Radar) and then Start TapFly Backward
- Free-Mode...do whatever you like ;
once you switch your gimbal control to "FPV" footage generated can be even nicer (smoother) than the former FixedWing-Mode of the MP1
