Mavic 2 pro photo freezing video feed

Hi everyone. I’ve been using my Mavic 2 Pro for a few months now. I shoot mostly action sports like surfing. I’m having trouble shooting photos and following surfers on waves mainly because the video feed freezes for 1-2 seconds after I take a shot and I lose track of the subject. Does anyone know a way around this? Or a way to shorten the freeze time to make it more manageable? I’m using a fast card but I still only get a chance for about 1 shot per wave

You could just shoot video at a fast camera rate and take frames from there in post.
