Mavic 2 Pro Wobbles during perfect flight

So this my first week of owning a Mavic 2 Pro and so far everything has been fantastic, but today I was letting a friend fly it and we noticed a wobble that the drone was doing. It did it once majorly and then after that it did a couple little stutters but nothing as major. And after that it flew fine but I instantly switched it from sport mode to positioning mode and manually flew it back to me. I would really appreciate some help with figuring out what happened, I love this drone and I just want to understand it better.

Flight info: It had full GPS, everything was calibrated correctly, for the first 10 minutes of the flight there were no issues, the controller had blenty of battery left, the drone had roughly 54% battery left, the drone was in sport mode, there was no warnings for weak signal on my phone, and I was using a Iphone7 Plus with the controller.

Here is a link to the video straight from the drone, I cut it all down to just were the issue happened but it was roughly about a 13 minute flight at the point of the issues.

Thank you in advance for any help I really appreciate you for taking the time to look at this issue

That seems more like the gimbal than the Mavic. I have no answers. Does the gimbal calibrate freely on power up?

Thank you for your reply! Yes the gimbal moves around and calibrates perfectly during startup. Gimbal works perfectly fine, I havent had a single issue like this yet and have already made 10 flights with this thing. It was shipped to me without a gimbal protector idk if that could have caused this?

It could have been jarred in shipping. I once had a Mavic Pro gimbal come loose. It was suspended by two rubber bands. I fixed it myself without dismantling anything. So I just grabbed my Mavic 2 and grabbed the camera head, it is also suspended by rubber bands but they don't look accessible. The M2 doesn't have a separate gimbal protector, it's part of the "bubble". Didn't you get that?

Just a thought. If you think the gimbal is good, have you seen the M2 fly erratically, or just in the video

I am assuming it was shipped brand new from DJI. If so have you raised a warranty issue with them?

They will tell you to update the firmware on everything etc, which might not be a bad idea, even do a full reset with DJI Assistant if you have a computer and see how that goes. At least you would know you have done everything that you can do before requesting a service or replacement.

Almost as if one corner of the gimbal housing is jammed under the frame

I know what the bubble looks like, I bought this drone used with less then 12 previous flights before me. The PO didn't include the bubble with everything else I got. I have never seen it fly erratically it has always been absolutely rock solid that's why I was worried about this.

Thank you for your reply! The firmware is all up to date but it would probably be a good idea to factory reset everything. It was not brand new but it's hardly been used. I have DJI care for it so I'm not extremely worried I just want to understand what is going on and what is causing this issue.

Thank you for your reply! Would it be possible for that to happen when the drone is just hovering and the gimbal has nothing being inputted to it? Not trying to throw any shade because I am pretty new to this hobby and it very well could be I just don't know but to me it seems if the drone is hovering and gimbal isn't moving it shouldn't be jammed under anything?

Several worrisome statements there! Why sold when that new if it didn't have a problem? What happened to the gimbal protector? Shipped without the stability offered by the protector could have resulted in damage if it wasn't already damaged.

Any recourse with the seller?

Honestly the person just seemed like someone who got in over there head and got overwhelmed and sorta clueless. They called ND filters "lenses" and I totally get the worrisome things that could happen when buying but I was very careful and only bought the drone because I corresponded with the seller beforehand and got a feel for what they're like. So I'm assuming they didn't know what the protector was and thought it was just something to throw away when they bought the drone. And yes it could have resulted in damage but this is just one instance in a lot of flying I've done with this drone so I feel like I would have seen issues right off the bat if the damage was already there or a result of shipping.

This is what you want correct?

It's the gimbal, not the aircraft. While there are numerous very jerky maneuvers by the pilot, there are still a few uncommanded twitches from the gimbal itself:

The video you posted appears to start at around 635 seconds on this graph, and you can see the gimbal behaving strangely in pitch and yaw around 662 seconds, for example.

The reason is not clear - you could pull the mobile device DAT file (FLY056.DAT) - it may contain further clues.

It sounds like you’re gimbal isn’t jammed up on the frame like so - check each corner of the gimbal assembly to make sureeach elastic is good - should be one on each corner

Ive seen a M2 gimbal do this with some filters fitted. They're *just* heavy enough to occasionally move it, especially if theres a gust.

I had a bad gimbal on my M2P. I would get gimbal overload errors. I put up with thinking it was just too windy around here. Finally I sent it in and DJI replaced and back to me in a couple weeks. I've had no issues since.
Here is the video when my Gimbal was having issues:

I think I may know what it is. I had a situation where the gimbal had become juddery. I landed the aircraft and found that there was a small plastic sticker stuck under the gimbal and part of it was touching the aircraft. When I removed the sticker it worked fine. I do not know what the sticker was there for.
