Mavic 3 and RC Pro Flight Restrictions

For the last year I have gone out, setup, and flown my Mavic 3 with the RC Pro controller without problems. I am not connected to any internet or WiFi service and when the fly app loads and Sats are acquired I get the message that I am ready to fly and I take off. After the last firmware upgrades, now when I start up it says ID error, that I am not logged in, and i have restricted flight altitude and distance. I had to go home and get a hot spot to log in and then all is well.
Is there a setting that I cannot find, or is this the norm for the future, and I have to carry a hot spot to fly.

I believe that when you updated to current, you now have the RID firmware.
Did you check the release notes for that particular update?

Just saw summary saying it fixed bugs and added another model. Did not see this issue. Will look again.
