mavic 3 bug - lost live signal after playback

Hi - wondering if you guys could check something for me to see if this is a bug in general or jusut mine. Fly somewhere, record something, then come back close line of sight (5k@50). Then go to playback mode and try to playback the clip. first of all - it never played back. then i tried to get out of that screen back to live view and it was all grey. but the drone and controller acted as if i could see. could tap the screen to adjust lighting/etc even though the live view was just all grey. Had to land by line of site because no live feed. switched to sport mode and back, no change. I replicated this twice.

Wonder if this is a bug or just mine..
 
is this with the smart controller ?
I'm experimenting plenty of bug (lags, freezes, glitches, red bars) on the smart controller, being less than 500m away ...some glitches appears also on recorded video in the mavic ssd.

Terrible experience so far with this drone.
Not confident about it
 
I just read another report from a guy that lost his signal wasn’t even 400 feet out this is not good guys this is why I haven’t pulled the trigger yet I have 3 Dji Drones, maverick one pro ,Maverick to Pro phantom 4 pro, it seems to me the more Drones they have put out the quality has been going down as far as reliability my little Mavic one has never had anything not a glitch nothing Mavic two is pretty solid but the phantom for pro that’s a different story still a great drone just seems to have some bugs in the software,If it were me I would already pack it up into the box it came in would be making some phone calls too much money to have those problems and I need to send you a new one

Let's not raise the Red flag just yet, So far there have only been 2 reports out of the how many hundreds (maybe more). The first thing is we need to know if these people are on Android or iOS, There was recently an update to DJI Fly app and Android users tend to get shafted with bugs, etc, I'm not saying the iOS version doesn't have any bugs but Android usually gets neglected. Once we rule out what type of OS they are using then we need to start looking at the devices they are using (What type of iPhone or Android) as older devices can have problems running the DJI apps. Don't get me wrong it could be hardware but when you have 2 reports of about the same thing on the same day it sounds like a software bug more than a hardware one.

My first recommendation is to reinstall the DJI Fly app and if you are on Android clear the cache of the app after you reinstall the app and make sure you restart the device your using as well and then let's see if people can replicate the same issue.

I’m guessing it’s a universal bug and not just my hardware but wanted to confirm. It’s very reproducible.

Either in flight or on the ground, if you go to playback and try to play something on the app it simply doesn’t work. And then if you go back out of that screen to what should be the live view it is just grey.

Can anyone reproduce this or confirm that theirs can playback without the screen going grey?

Wonder if I should just return this one and get another

Perfect, I also have a 13 Pro Max (And an android so I will try both) When I get home I will try and replicate the bug and see what the results are. I'm wondering by any chance do you have a VPN on and or do you have Private Relay on in iCloud? I'm wondering if somehow the data is being stalled out when you are trying to view the footage and then going back to live view.
 
Just wanted to report back that I tried to replicate the issue you are having on both my android and iPhone 13 pro max and could not replicate it. After I took the picture and then viewed the picture and when I went back to view the live feed I did see for 1 second a gray screen but the video feed was restored right after.

So I just checked and for pictures it works but when I try to view a video it does not. Wondering if u tried that as well or only pictures?

I will check later today, We had a cold front move in (Florida boy) so not only was I freezing lol

Are you still having the issues? Any chance are you running the iOS 15 beta firmware?
 
Thanks. No not running beta, I’m up to date on iOS 15.1.1. Yes, playback (for video) still not working and causing live view to be a grey screen and actually seemingly disconnecting the aircraft. I think based on what you say I will just return it to Amazon and get a replacement since no one else seems to be reporting this..
