I’m currently designing a stacking organizer that i would 3D print for the Mavic 3 bag and I’m looking for input.
While some can justify having a different bag or backpack, i don’t like the idea of it when i am just carrying my drone for something making the carry bag the choice especially when you paid $2K+. If I’m hiking or doing a big shoot, then that’s a different story. Why not make the most out of what you paid for by making something for it especially something inexpensive in comparison.
I’m trying to make it as ergonomic as i can given the little space it has. Reason I’m designing it is because I’ve already had incidents where i thought i brought something, couldn’t find it and when i got home i ended up finding it in the bag somewhere else.
The design would include slots for the battery, a smaller case for the props and a solid section with slots for spare SD cards, and space for adapters/cables/lenses etc. The biggest spots would be the remote(designed for the RC controller which would end up accommodating the standard controller) and the prop case
I would like input as to where others would want cables, remote and other accessories to go. (The area is around 200mm x 100mm x 220mm or 7.8in x3.9in x 8.7in). Input as in what would you want to see first when you open the bag and prep for flight. My personal thing is battery and controller first since my SD card would be already in the drone ready to go with spares on the bottom along with any cables/accessories/spares.
I’ve come up with multiple versions but i know many have different ideas and i am open to hear them
Input from the community would be greatly appreciated and would help speed up the design and get it out there.
If anyone would like to see them i can gladly post pictures as well of the designs i have but please know these are work in progress designs
