I have a Mavic 3 Classic. It belonged to a friend who let me have it after he crashed it. The drone itself had a damaged front right arm & a broken gimbal bracket.
I replaced the whole arm including motor. The bracket for the gimbal was replaced along with the rubber that hold it in place. I was given 3 batteries with the drone as well & the basic remote controller without the screen. I boot the drone up for the first time after the repairs. I get the camera feed along with a few errors. Errors I'm getting are battery not installed correctly (CODE:16100083). I get this code with all 3 batteries. Everything is charged 100%. I did read somewhere that the batteries might need to be updated. The other code i get is ESC connection error (CODE-16100019) The drone is on an older firmware. This is where the main issue comes into play. I cant update the firmware. I have tried updating it through the fly app on both android and IOS. I also downloaded the desktop assistant 2 consumer. The update never gets all the way done. On andriod it gets hung up at 93% Iphone gets hung up at 92%. The Assistant 2 consumer gets to 78%. I get different failed codes for both andriod & ios.
Andriod failed update code 0x020c34
Iphone failed update code 0x11205600002

Side note. At this point i have taken this thing apart pretty far. I checked all the boards. all the connections. unplugged everything and plugged it back in. I don't see any physical damage.

I don't know what answer you are expecting to get here, but I can't imagine how you or anyone that isn't DJI or a specialist drone service outfit would have the diagnostic tools to be able to fix that ! I'd send it back to DJI for refurb and swallow the $$$ hit to know it will be sorted first time.

Welcome to the Forum From Bakersfield!!
Are you using Assistant 2 thru a MAC? OR P.C.?

I am hoping someone has had a similar issue with there drone and found a way to fix it instead of sending it back in and paying to fix it.

Forget about updating for now, that can come later if you still want to update.

With regards to the battery connection error.
Two possible reasons come to mind
1) there is some form of switch contact associated with any/each clips that hold the battery in place. If these exist then check that they work and or are connected. I am not ploughing through a dismantling video to check whether or not the mavic 3 has such switches but from memory there are such switches in the Mavic 2.
However I have the recollection that they are within the battery itself and as such would ask if your battery error occurs with all 3 batteries ? If so then I doubt the problem lies in the batteries.
2) If the error occurs with all three batteries I would check the contacts in the drone that mate with the contacts on the batteries. Check for fluff or dirt or displaced contacts. A battery communicates with the drone through some of the contacts.

With regards the the ESC error, despite what you say I would suggest that you recheck that you soldered the wires from the new arm to the correct points on the ESC board.
Check dismantling videos for images that show the connections prior to unsoldering the old arm.
It is also quite likely that the ESC board has colour code lettering near the solder points. If those connections are correct then check any ribbon cables that run to the ESC board are undamaged and seated correctly and that the connections, male and female, are undamaged.

If undamaged then you might need replace what ever constitutes the ESC board and that is where costs can start mounting, basically you are left with guess, buy, swap and pray testing. Fine if your first guess works out but .......

You Will get that ESC error from a bad motor BUT the component could be Bad and in that case you really need to send it to DJI. If the part is bad it will need to be "matched" to the drone with RepiarTool. You can do it yourself BUT the people that have the RepiarTool clone websites will ask you for 100 bucks and it may just be a ripoff ( you need to check the provider of the service as well as you can!............ I would send it in to DJI.

Was it a new OEM part?

This is an update error and after you get things sorted it will most likely go away.

I would for sure go thru the suggestions in post 6 above The cheapest most reliable fix for you would be to send it to DJI....They wont charge you a mint and you will get a new ( Refurbished ) Drone out of it.

Try to flash the FW via Drone hacks tool. Download the FW file from Dankdrone downloader. But at the end I think you will need to send it to DJI anyway.
