Hello again,
Another question re: the RTK attachment one can purchase to mount for improved accuracies on ground surveys.
I have experience as a land surveyor using GNSS equipment. We initially didn't purchase the RTK until because we figured we could use our GCPs and Leica RTK unit to complete the survey side of things, and then use the Mavic 3E for the photo side of things.
If we wanted to purchase the RTK unit, how do we tie into a base station and get the corrections? Do we still set up our RTK base in a way? Would love clarification on how to move forward if we did purchase the additional unit. Thanks!

The M3E with RTK module will receive corrections over a typical NTRIP connection. This is accomplished by connecting the M3E's remote to a network (for example a phone's hotspot) and logging into the correction network.

The NTRIP network can be a typical CORS station / service, or depending on your gnss equipment, it can connect locally if your gnss equipment has the ability to broadcast NTRIP corrections over the connected LAN. The latter capability is available on Emlid receivers.

This video uses a Phantom 4 RTK, but the NTRIP setup is the same for the M3E.

Thank you so much for the video link. Was helpful!
My worry is that we often work in areas with no cell coverage, so a personal hot spot would not work. I would have to look into my existing GNSS equipment to see if we could set up locally.

If your gnss receivers are able to broadcast NTRIP over a LAN, then you don't need an internet connection. For example. The RS2/3 series can broadcast NTRIP over a LAN. So. use your phone's hotspot, or an external hotspot as the Host for both the RS3 and the M3E. The phone (or hotspot) does not have to have a cellular connection. It is just acting as a common network for the RS3 to communicate with the M3E. If your gnss receiver does not have that ability, then this off cellular approach will not work for you.
