Mt. Velebit, Croatia

In these forests, on these rocks and trails, many years ago, we stood.
Young, stubborn, ready for anything.
The mountain was our home, our refuge, our battlefield.
Velebit remembers it all – cold nights, quiet footsteps, distant glances, friendship, brotherhood.

Today we return, not with weapons, but with a camera.
To capture the silence where there once was unrest, to share memories that never fade.
We were here... and we’ll always be here, because this sacred mountain is part of us.

In memory of our fallen brothers, members of the special police unit "Orao," Osijek
Forever grateful, with respect.

I gave it 1:30 minutes and saw it was going nowhere with wandering drone moves and fast pans. The sound track was muddled. I turned it off. Did not like.

Hm Ok. How should I say it? There is a missing shot from a greater distance, and the individual may be surprisingly small in the shot, but it can be seen. The beauty of the mountains is revealed in the power of the distance, the wilderness, the nature. You took a nice shot, only the Slovenian mountains are more beautiful.

hey bro, I’m honestly sorry you didn’t like the video - I really put my heart into it. Just so you know the context: this one’s in memory of my fallen brothers from the special police who lost their lives in the war about 30 years ago.
I’m not asking for sympathy, just a little understanding that some videos carry a different kind of story.
Too bad you didn’t watch it till the end, because the first part is actually just a scouting flight over the area where we were back then, and the video’s been shared on the special police pages to bring back memories of those days of pride.
Anyway, sorry for the long reply… if you still don’t like it even after watching till the end, no hard feelings my friend!

p.s. That first part might feel a bit slow, but I had to follow the rhythm of the song.
And yeah, I chose that song for a reason… maybe it comes off a little sentimental, but I don’t really have the budget to make a custom track.

There are a couple of shots where you can see me from farther away, showing just how big the mountain is...
I totally agree, the Slovenian Alps are gorgeous, and I often go hiking there with my family... but you know, out here in these mountains, this feels like home... everything comes down to heart and love…
You know, objectively, the Alps are beautiful, but subjectively, my mountains in Croatia are beautiful too..
