Mavic Air 2 Sideway flight

In my last, I was unable to fly sideways in the normal mode. In sport mode it flew sideways properly however in normal mode the stick had no effect. All other functions were fine. Could I have changed a setting by accident? Has anyone else had this issue?

Yes. Discussed many times here. Sideways flight can be turned on and off. Check your settings.

Yes, there are no obstacle-avoidance sensors for sideways flight.
