Mavic Air Case

Not loving the case that came with the fly more combo, mostly because of the big pouch on it. Went to Harbor Freight tonight and bought this little gem for 22.39 after 20 percent coupon and a free 25ft measuring tape. This is more for me as I prefer the drone to have a little more protection. Was able to fit everything in it...not using prop gaurds. Under the drone I put a piece of left over foam because it is deep and was able to store rest of cables and spare props under the foam. There is a piece of foam that sits on the whole bottom.The stickers were the wifes doing. Made them on her Silhouette CAMEO. Thought someone may be wondering about this case. I like it. Wife made them using a silhouette cameo. They sell them on eBay but are to big for this case. Need to make them custom to fit.

Well if i were to go grab the same case and i more then likely will. Think the wife can make a few more? Ill pay ....let me know. Im especially interest in the "dji" in the middle of the case! The "dji" thats by itself on the one side of case in small square

Hello, I recently bought an Air and am very happy with it. That said, there currently seems to be a severe lack of affordable case options.
I went on Amazon and picked up one of these:

Cost me 56 bucks, and the smaller sizes are cheaper. I figure an 11 inch would fit an Air, controller, and a few batteries fine.
I got the bigger size to house some other tech.

not really, it is still more portable then phantom. If he needs it for short one battery flight he can put it to small factory case and controller to his jacket pocket (can you do it with phantom?) He has fly more combo set, so in case of more flights he has to take all stuff and in this case all is much better protected than in factory fly more combo case. btw I have the same case from harbor freight and for that money can't find better one.

Inside Length 12 in. Inside Width 9-1/4 in.
Inside Height 4 in.

Outside adds 1 and 3/4 inches.

So 13 3/4 x 11 x 5 and 3/4 outside and waterproof too.

Nice case for the money. I purchased the larger one (Apache 3800) to fit my Air and my 7.85" CrystalSky (and everything else). Still compact enough for me given the fact that it holds EVERYTHING. I still have the stock stuff and a Smatree MA case if I want to just use my iPhone or iPad Mini. But once you go CrystalSky you never want to go back.

In fact, I think I might owe the OP props as I think I got the idea to check HF after seeing this thread.

I paid 29.99+tax for the Apache 3800 on one of HF's perpetual sales. I don't have any stickers though.

Picked up the same case last month. Holds my Air, charge block and charger, controller, 4 batts, 2 sets of props and all cables. Pick and pluck foam leaves a little to be desired but for the money it’s a killer case.
And to whoever said it’s like a Phantom 3, you obviously never owned one with a hard case lol.

I’m not a fan of pick and pluck either (which is why I CnC’d my own foam) but I do have pick n pluck in other applications and pro tip: spray your pick n pluck with Plasti-Dip spray. Lots of light coats. It fuses the blocks together and makes for a nice finish. Also keeps the blocks from tearing and disintegrating with use.
